Soccer Girl

I am proud to say I am officially a soccer mom! Ruthie has out grown her 'stage fright' and LOVES playing soccer! She was not afraid to bump around with the boys. 4 year old soccer is one of the funniest things I have ever seen though. One little girl cried the entire game. The coaches (and several parents) were on the field with the kids. The kids just want to kick the ball, regardless of direction. Ruthie's team, the Cougars :) , scored 3 goals for the other team! It is an awesome way to kick off the spring!

The Rest of March

I figured I'd better recap this busy/fun month we've had.
This is how Ryan has spent most of the the past 6 days. His ACL surgery went well and he doing better than most people, according to the physical therapist. Just moving nice and slow.

My parents and little sisters came up from AZ when my sister Suzanne went through the temple. I wish we had a picture at the temple, but it was snowing and blowing like crazy that night! Afterwards we all came back to our house and had a birthday party for Amy, Suz and my mom. These aunts do a great job entertaining my kids!

The birthday girls

This little dude went through a phase for several weeks that has just wrapped up. He would get up in the middle of the night 2-5 times, turn on the lights, put on his back pack, hat, and or shoes/boots on and come knock on my door. He would go right back to sleep, but what was he thinking!

Tate is creative too. He discovered the perfect place to keep his sword!

He's ready!
We had a little St. Patty's Day party, aren't they adorable!
The kids had fun trying out a new jumping place in Lindon called Jump On It.

Tate loved it as long as he had a trampoline to himself.

We spent a night at the cabin with some friends a couple of weeks ago. We stayed up way to late, played card games, sledded and ate yummy food. What more could you want!
I ripped a hole in my one pair of jeans, which is why I am sporting the pj's with my boots!

Cute friends sledding

They love each other!

How to Celebrate 7 Years Of Love

We celebrated our 7th [!] anniversary a few days early since that was the day we could get tickets to see this guy, Brian Regan.
Neither of us had seen him before, but had heard how hysterical he is. It was worth every penny! I should not have even bothered putting make-up on before the show. I literally cried laughing for an hour and a half! My cheeks hurt, my stomach hurt, I was exhausted by the end of the show. I am so glad we decided to go! What a way to celebrate 7 fabulous years of laughing together!

This is the pre-show picture, taken by us. Ya like Ryan's glasses? He looks smokin' hot in them!

On another note, my beautiful friend Emily came to Utah last weekend to go skiing! We had not seen each other in 7 years. She moved to Nashville right before Ry and I got married. Now she is living the country star life and her group Lucy Angel will be releasing an album this summer! It was a happy, and long over due reunion! Notice she is bending down in the picture, I am actually on my tip-toes. :) I love when you can go that long with out seeing each other and it still feels the same.

Update: I did take this cute fellow to get a hair cut today. Still a little shaggy, but much better!

Lately...

Ryan is getting around with a limp these days. He tore his ACL skiing a week and a half ago. Now that he's seen his Orthopedic surgeon and the physical therapist, surgery is scheduled for March 25th. Not the best way to end ski season, he is just glad that it didn't happen earlier!

We had a busy couple of days with these cuties staying with us while their mom and dad were out of town. Between the four kids there was a 1, 2, 3, and 4 year old! Ruthie and Tate loved playing with James and Ada.

Ruthie and Tate made a little art this morning. Well, I really just needed a picture of Tate's hair.

Whoa! It is getting so long! This picture is my motivation to at least go get it trimmed. I have had a couple of people think I was carrying Ruthie from a distance with the blonde curls! It is time.

I have finally made a hair clip holder! It just took a little glue gun and a picture frame. Hopefully this means I won't lose as many clips as before!

Now this project has been a long time coming. I started this at a super Saturday activity right before I had Tate. I messed up the mod podge so it sat in my basement undone for over 2 years! Yeah for completed projects!

Cinnamon Butter, Mmmm

I have intended on finding the Texas Road House cinnamon butter recipe for quite a while. I finally googled it and, oh wow, should have done it a long time ago! Ryan says you have to put it on like frosting. Try it, you won't be sorry!

Texas Roadhouse Cinnamon Butter
Ingredients
• 1 cup butter, softened
• 1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk, chilled
• 1/2 teaspoon corn syrup
• 3/4-1 teaspoon cinnamon, to taste
Directions
1. Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until mixture is smooth.(or I use a hand mixer)
2. Serve with hot rolls or muffins.
3. This may be stored in the refrigerator.

She's a natural!

We spent part of President's Day weekend at the cabin with my sister Amy and Bro-in-law Jordan. As you can see, the kids loved the chocolate fondue.

Ryan and Jordan skied in the morning and I joined them for a couple of hours. Ryan has been talking about taking Ruthie skiing since she was born. She came that afternoon and she loved it!

Her favorite part was having Ryan take her off of the 'jump'. The video is a little shaky since I started skiing while taping. I had to document the whole run! It will be so fun when we can all go together!

I Hope They Call Me On A Mission

My little sister Suzanne got her mission call last night. We high tailed it to Provo the minute we heard. No one thought it would be here yet since she only turned in her papers last Wednesday.
She's getting ready to open it....
( I love that Jordan has the phone in one hand, the camera in the other and Tate on his lap. Good brother-in-law!)

She takes a sneak preview before reading it out loud...

ROME ITALY!!!!!!
We all screamed and took in the moment! You are going to be an amazing missionary Suz!

Ryan was in charge of our video camera. We had 3 phones with Boston, Connecticut, and Mesa on the line!

Last weekend we went to Heber to visit some friends and they told us about these cool 'ice castles' in Midway. We went to check it out and they were very worth it! They were so big we could walk inside of one of them.
These are all cell phone pictures, but you can get the idea. Almost like walking into Narnia.
