Ruthie's Candyland

I intended to post this pre-trip back east-didn't happen! So...
Ruthie had an exciting 4th birthday! It started at midnight with Tate having a fever and hacking cough. I just couldn't have a party with fourteen 2-4 year olds at 11 the next morning, with flu going around, without having him checked out. We ended up at Urgent Care for a rapid flu test and strep test. Since they were both negative-thank heavens-we just made a lot of phone calls and post-poned the party an hour. I dropped Tate off at Ryan's work and Ruthie and I got home at 11:45. Luckily, all of our great friends helped me get things together and we had a party! It was candyland themed with activities to go with the game areas. I didn't get pictures of all of the signs, but you'll get the gist.

The lollipop invites with pixie stix for the stick.

An amazing lunch of PB&J, string cheese, fishy crackers and apples. It doesn't get better than that!

This is as still as Hudson holds for pictures!

Candyland princess for the day. She is lucky to have such fun friends! She got way too many presents, but she absolutely loved them all!

Tate didn't want to be left out!

Thanks for adjusting to our crazy day! Ruthie sure had a day to remember!

I love October in Arizona

We had an oh, so enjoyable trip to Arizona the first week in October. The main events were Uncle Steven's football game (he is the star quarterback for the JV team), my 10 year high school reunion (gasp), Stephanie's baby shower, Steven's Eagle court of honor and lots of family/friend time. It was supposed to be a quick weekend trip, but apparently I booked our return flight for Thursday instead of Monday. Whoops! I swear it was an accident, a happy accident though. If it was intentional I would not have booked a flight at 6am by myself with the kids. Ryan still went home before the rest of us. Here are the best shots of the wonderful week!

Football fans!

I enjoy the park so much more when Nana is there with the kids! And so do they!

Mindi, the best party planner! She threw the perfect baby shower for Steph.
The favorite Uncle Steve.

Ready to play!

Cousinly love.

Ryan presenting Steven's Eagle.

Handsome scouters. (Ryan has no clue where his scout shirt went.)

I am pretty sure Ruthie is not trying to choke Emmett. These 4 are such buddies.

We did get a night out with our good friends the Clares.

Some of the girls at the reunion. It was definitely worth going! I loved seeing my amazing friends from high school! And seriously, how did all of them get even cuter! Well, we did graduate in the 90's. We should get at least a fashion pass for that! My friends have all done great things with their lives. I am so happy for all of you!

Oh the memories I have with this girl! I can't wait until we live less than 1000 miles away from each other!

Weren't we supposed to go back to Cabo for our 10 year? Just a thought!

I won a prize for marrying someone from a rival school. So glad I did! He's the best choice I've made in the past 10 years!
Good old student council! Nice job!

Guess who is 4!

I can't believe it! My baby girl is 4 years old! I love my Roo! She is sweet and funny and such a lovey sister and daughter. She is getting more fun every day. Here are a few pictures to remember October 14th
