Ruthie's Candyland

I intended to post this pre-trip back east-didn't happen! So...
Ruthie had an exciting 4th birthday! It started at midnight with Tate having a fever and hacking cough. I just couldn't have a party with fourteen 2-4 year olds at 11 the next morning, with flu going around, without having him checked out. We ended up at Urgent Care for a rapid flu test and strep test. Since they were both negative-thank heavens-we just made a lot of phone calls and post-poned the party an hour. I dropped Tate off at Ryan's work and Ruthie and I got home at 11:45. Luckily, all of our great friends helped me get things together and we had a party! It was candyland themed with activities to go with the game areas. I didn't get pictures of all of the signs, but you'll get the gist.

The lollipop invites with pixie stix for the stick.

An amazing lunch of PB&J, string cheese, fishy crackers and apples. It doesn't get better than that!

Candyland princess for the day. She is lucky to have such fun friends! She got way too many presents, but she absolutely loved them all!

Ruthie's present from mom and dad-a big girl Barbie bike!

Tate didn't want to be left out!

Thanks for adjusting to our crazy day! Ruthie sure had a day to remember!
