March wrap up
Happy Emmy. We got to meet our newest niece too!
This is the infamous rug we've had in our basement for months. Ryan actually pulled it out of the dumpster behind Pottery Barn. Some guys from his job site told him about the goods they (PB)dumped. It had a 2 inch tear in it. I never thought I'd be proud of my husband dumpster diving, but way to go babe! Brand new Pottery Barn for free! And it matches our decor quite well. Lucky find!

We had a play date at the zoo when it was up to the 60's last week. 10 kids,7 moms. Good times!

6th Anniversary on the Slopes

We had an amazing 6th anniversary yesterday! Ryan is an avid skier from a skiing family and I have snowboarded (not too well) for several seasons now. At his family reunion in January I was the lone snowboarder among about 20 skiers! I have wanted to to try skiing, so Saturday was the day. We lucked out and it was warm, beautiful and the kids were at our friends. I had a rough first few minutes (you can't just sit down when you can't stop!). Ryan was patient and gave me good pointers and I was cruising right along by the end. I'm no speed racer, but improved. I did discover that it gets easier on the muscles as you get better. Snowplowing takes a lot of energy!
I am so glad to be married to such an amazing man. He makes life so fun for us with all of our adventures. I am excited to see what the future years bring! Love you Ry!!

Project Wood Floor: Check
This is the new entry way!
It is such a relief to be done with this step of our remodel. We went from...
to
This. (Sigh of relief)
We had to stay off of the floor while the sealer coat dried twice, so we spent most of last week camping out at Ryan's Grandparents' and Aunt's houses. The kids were so thrown off schedule by the whole project, they are happy to be home again!
We still have to replace the base boards and finish the cabinets and some tiling, but lets focus on the positive. I can live in my house now! Yeah!
We have to wait a week before we can put down the area rug that's been in our basement for months. I'll have to tell the rug story once it makes its debut.

This is why I haven't posted!
Here are the kids finishing up breakfast in my bedroom.
That is my sink hiding behind my stove and fridge. Totally impossible to reach!
The front room stacked full of furniture.
Ryan putting on the bonding primer.
Working hard.
Laying wood.We have been living in a little bit of a "destruction" zone. Ryan and his dad, along with other family and friends, tore out all of the linoleum, carpet, and baseboards and laid all of the flooring in less than a week! I helped by keeping the kids out of the way while they worked their tails off. Then this weekend I puttied knot and nail holes and helped sand for hours and hours. It is really coming together and should be done in the next couple of days. As I'm sure anyone knows who has done remodeling, everything takes way longer than you think! It really hasn't been too bad though thanks to many friends and family feeding us, watching our kids, helping shuffle furniture, and letting us sleep over while the fumes fill our house. Thanks a million!!!

Happy LOVE Day
Valentine's Pictures for our Nana's, Papa's and DadThe funny thing is we have had the bed for 2 months and Ruthie insists on sleeping in Tate's room on her old twin. They love sharing a room, it is really cute how much they love each other.

We had a great Valentine's weekend. Friday day the kids and I went to a party at our neighbors house and decorated bags and handed out Valentines and had treats galore! That afternoon I took the kids to see new baby Lincoln. He was actually on the news Friday night for his whole naming coincidence. He came over 2 weeks early and they had already been calling him Lincoln for months! Friday night Ryan got a babysitter and we went out on a date to see a movie in a real movie theater not just a red box rental! Saturday was more work than play. We are in the peak mess (hopefully) of project paint the cabinets. Oh my, it is a disaster zone as you can see in the picture! Ryan's dad is flying up Wednesday for a week to help us lay wood flooring. Yes, these projects will over lap. Yes, we are a little bit crazy. Yes, we will be even crazier after a month of mess! It will all be worth it in the end right!? We did get a small break from paint fumes to go to the Draper Temple open house. It was beautiful and Ruthie absolutely loved all of the "sparklys".

Whoa, that's one big fish!
Cute girls at the dino miseum
Dad, don't let him get me!The past 2 Mondays we have gone to a couple of great museums. Last week it was the Treehouse Museum in Ogden and this week it was the Museum of Ancient Life in Lehi. The kids had so much fun at both. It is way worth it to get out with little friends every once in a while. Especially when we are waiting and waiting for spring!
