I love weddings! Even in August in Arizona. We went down for another quick trip (sorry to the many people we didn't get to see!) for my sister Amy's wedding to Jordan McCoy. They are the cutest couple and everyone approves of Jordan as the newest bro-in-law. My favorite picture is Ruthie and Amy twirling together! I think Amy won that contest. She was a beautiful bride. It was fun for Ruthie and Tate to see cousins and even meet the newest little guy in the family. We also went out with my family to celebrate my parents anniversary the day after the other wedding festivities. The whole family was there except my bro-in-law Dallen. So much fun, and we miss everyone already!

New Family Pictures

We finally have nice new family pictures with Tate! They were taken up near Alta by Highlite Photography. Tate refused to smile the entire time! He had just woken up from the long drive. Ruthie made up for it with her cheeser smiles.

Fun friends
We have had so many people move out of our neighborhood the past few months. The good thing is that great people have moved into almost all of these homes! We went hiking a couple of weekends ago up Provo Canyon with a few newer friends of ours. You can tell that Ry and I are the "old ones" with 2 kids! It was so much fun, thanks guys!
That same afternoon Ryan and I decided we might as well get even more dirty and drove up to Millcreek Canyon. The trail we hiked was steep and pretty long, but beautiful at the top! Ruthie and Tate love the view up on our backs so they were good considering the long day.

Daddy's girl
Ruthie love her dad's softball games. The season just wrapped up and she will sure miss cheering him on. And yes that is Ryan crushing another ball in the background!

Bevan family visit

Ryan's family came up for few days at the end of June. They sent me these pictures and I had to post some since they turned out so cute! As you can see Ruthie loves her cousin Orren. They went all over Salt Lake with Nana and Papa that weekend. I am so glad we had the chance to take this priceless picture of all 4 "John Bevan"s together. In fact Ryan's Dad and Grandpa always call Tate by his full name "John Tate". Just proud Grandpas!

Mom's favorite time of day
I LOVE nap time! I love when the kids naps over lap. I love having 20 minutes (an hour if I'm lucky) to myself to do life altering things like unload the dishwasher, or sweep the kitchen floor. I love that I love my kids again after seeing their sweet little angel faces not getting into trouble! Ruthie has tried to quit on me before, but I just won't let her. She now has quite time with books which inevitably leads to a nap, a happy girl and a happy mom.
Tate's latest breakthrough is his new found mobility. He has moved on to his version of crawling (hands and toes) and gets around the house sooo quick! It also means more trouble and lots more supervision!
This last picture of Ruthie I just think is cute! I love her hair clip from her Aunt Kristen's on-line boutique. Check it out at maydaystudiodesigns.etsy.com

Babypacking at Brighton
We had such a fun Fourth of July weekend. Ryan got off of work early on Thursday so we could head up to his grandparent's cabin for the night. We played cards that night with Grandma and Grandpa Bevan, Uncle Curt (or Turt to Ruthie), Liz and Missy. Friday morning there was a huge pancake breakfast in the parking lot of the church at Brighton. Yum! Then we all headed off on a day hike to Lake Solitude. It was a beautiful day and the kids loved the view from the packs. Tate slept half of the time as you can see in the pictures. Ruthie is now officially potty trained, so she had her first attempt going in the wilderness. After 20 minutes of coaxing, she decided she'd wait for a potty instead of a rock! Ryan was really hoping she could hold it that long! Ryan took the kids to a Bees baseball game and fireworks that night while Sarah enjoyed fireworks for a minute from the 3rd floor of the hospital while she worked. There were a lot of babies born this Fourth!
