Labor Day Weekend

We had an eventful weekend starting with the BYU vs Arizona game. Ruthie came and enjoyed the fun. She loved cheering and she does a mean cougar growl! We went up to beautiful Bear Lake with Ryan's Davis family Sunday night and Monday. As you can see, Ruthie had a great time in the water, but the life jacket was pure torture on the boat! Not even Ariel made it bearable!

"Potty Training"

There is a reason that "potty training" is in quotes. It has been almost a month since we invested in a quite versatile and even musical potty for Ruthie. The good news is that she sits on it 5-10 times a day. The bad news, we have yet to see anything go into the potty. Most of my days are spent chasing a naked girl around the house. She strips down to nothing the minute she goes in her diaper. We just need to find a way to get her on the pot 1 minute sooner! Suggestions? Her favorite thing to do with the potty is take the seat off, put her face through the middle and say "Hello, mom!" Gross! It would be worse if she had ever actually used it as a toilet. Sorry for the ever so exciting potty rambling, but I know you moms will relate! Speaking of streakers... gotta run!

These are pictures from Ryan's cousin Jessica's wedding. Ruthie is not very happy because she wanted to swim during the reception. The other is Ruthie and her friend Tanner Parry watching The Little Mermaid. Too cute! Ryan is obviously not too worried after his last biking trip. He is back in the saddle tomorrow for another go at the same trail! Good luck!

"Super" Saturday

We had a somewhat eventful Saturday. Ryan went mountain biking with some guys from work in the morning. He had a great time for the first 18 miles. If you know him , you know that Ryan is just a bit competitive. He was working hard to keep up with a very experienced mountain biker. Apparently he did a pretty good job through the technical part, but his tire met with a rock wrong on a flat stretch. He did a superman over the handlebars and has the war wounds to prove the story true. Check out the hole in his former helmet!
Ruthie just pulled a superman herself, right off of our bed! Ouch! Earlier this afternoon she enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the rain.

Summer Fun

Ruthie's first pony ride.

Ruthie kissing her cousin Sophie "Bye, Bye!"

Ruthie has had a blast with all of the family we have seen this month! There is never a short supply of attention. She loved going to a petting zoo and riding on a pony. We were sad to see Landen, Kristen , and Sophie move to Boston! It has been fun living pretty close by. Good luck on your new adventure!

Vacation to Arizona

4 generation picture from the Tenney Reunion

We enjoyed our 10 day trip to Arizona, with the exception of the temperature being at least 113 everyday! There is nothing I love more than good food and good company. We had plenty of both! We did forget to take our camera on our trip, so thanks to those who sent us pictures. Ruthie loves to swim. I take her at least once a week. She is getting to be a big girl and likes to pat my expanding belly and say, "Hi baby!" Little does she know that her life as she knows it will come to an end once he's here.
