Tate recieved the first official hair cut of our 2 children last week. Believe it or not Ruthie has never actually had one! Tate had a thick strip of hair below his growing bald spot on the back of his head that Ryan referred to as his "sub-mullet." The top was thinning out, so we buzzed it. I'll admit I did tear up a little. He looks like a big boy now. Ruthie is all about wearing dresses only! "Cinderella dress!" is her request everyday. I try to comply as it saves me a serious battle in the morning.

Now this is a topic I can talk about! I am the luckiest girl in the world, and have the most amazing husband! Any one who wants to find out more about my guy can read on.
My Husband:
What is his name? Ryan
How long have you been together? 6 years this May
How long did you date? 7 months dating, almost 3 months engaged
How old is he? 27
Who eats more? I hold my own, but if you know Ry, there's no contest.
Who said "I love you" first? He did.
Who is taller? Ryan.
Who can sing better? One of his favorite quotes is from Elder Holland who said, "I couldn't catch a musical note with velcro." Nuff said. He does sing his heart out though.
Who is smarter? I am the short term memory queen, Ryan remembers useful stuff much longer than I do.
Who does the laundry? That would be me.
Who pays the bills? Automatic bill pay
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I do. He's closer to the door.
Who mows the lawn? Ryan. I've never even started the mower.
Who cooks dinner? Me! Unless we're BBQing. Ry also makes the best breakfasts.
Who drives? No question, Ryan. Nothing is more frusterating for him than watching me drive, I'm not assertive enough. It keeps the peace this way.
Who is more stubborn? Depends on the topic. Neither of us are pushovers if it's important.
Who kissed who first? Ryan of course.
Who asked who out first? He did. We drove to Flagstaff to pick up his sister from school.
Who proposed? He did. On his birthday while I was in Salt Lake City with his family.
Who has more friends? We both have lots we've accumulated along the way!
Who is more sensitive? Me. Especially right after having babies! But he gets credit for not pushing my buttons too bad!
Who has more siblings? I do. I have 5 sisters and 1 brother. He has 3 sisters and 1 brother.
Who wears the pants? Ryan, but he always checks with me and knows I have veto power if needed!

Go Cougars

We got all dressed up in our cougar gear and took the kids to the BYU vs. Utah basketball game. Ruthie and Tate loved all of the noise and excitement. And of course BYU won! We are lucky that so far they like being dragged to these things. They have a life full of games to come. The battery on our camera died at the game, so we used Ryan's phone to document the occasion. Hence the high quality pics.

Ruthie's First Party
Ruthie had a blast going to her friend Gracie's 3rd birthday party. The 6 little 2 and 3 year old girls all dressed as princesses. That is one brave mom! The only hard part for Ruthie was giving the gift away. She'll figure it out eventually!

Snow Days
So, I'm about done with this white stuff. We've had plenty of it as you can see in the pictures. The picture of Ryan is actually at our neighbor's. Ruthie absolutely loves snow! I get to bundle up myself and the baby so she can play. I guess you can tell she was born here. She loves her hat Papa Tutt made her for Christmas. Tate's warm outfit is from Nana Bevan. Thanks! Ryan has been hitting the slopes as often as he can. I hope to be posting pictures of me enjoying the mountain powder soon! I need to try out all of my new gear.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to our friends and family everywhere! We wish we could be with you all for the holidays! Ryan is looking forward to a couple of great ski days for his birthday weekend and also wathing the BYU bowl game. Ruthie is practicing the fight song with him on a regular basis! Tate is a sweet boy and we can't get enough of him! Just thought we'd post a few of the pictures our friend Catherine took for us.
