Ruthie is a pro at temperature taking!
Tate can practically do it himself now!
A few of our recent favorite things
We are dealing with yet another sick spell! A couple of weeks ago Ruthie and Tate both had the stomach flu on and off for several days, Tate has 4 new molars that popped through last week, and now he has pneumonia and a double ear infection again! It has only been 4 weeks since the last bout with pneumonia. Poor kids.
I am trying out a new motivator for Ruthie. I made her a reward chart on a magnet board and she and I are loving it! Her reward of choice when she gets to 10 is watching a movie. I am surprised that threatening to move her back actually gets her to do things. She really loves movies, and I am willing to do whatever works at this stage.
Other than that we are just starting a few major construction projects. We are painting our kitchen cabinets first. You'll get to see pictures when there is more to show than my missing cabinet doors!

Sorry your kids are sick. That is no fun. I love the reward chart. We need to have a craft day and you can help me make one for Bella. It is so cute! I'm glad its working for you and Ruthie.
I hate it when the kids are sick too. Madison just kind of lays there but Logan? Ugh! He has to be held. Luckily, I haven't hit that yet this year.
oh! poor little buddies. hopefully this will be it and they will start feeling better. can't wait to see your kitchen cabinets. how fun!
I hear you on the sick thing. I think there has maybe been like 3 weeks of one of us not being sick since october!! That chart is a great idea too!
How did you make ruthie's reward board? That is so cute, I want one! I love the photo of Tate taking his tempature what a sweetie!
Oh I hear you...I swear at least one child has been sick the whole month of January. Garrett has had croup for 2.5 weeks..he's finally getting better! Makes me so grateful for healthy/happy children. I hope you are on the mend.
I found your blog when i was reading the headman's- hope tht's okay. I LOVE your reward chart- and you MADE it? Would you be willing to teach a non-crafter like myself? -Lexie Baugh
Yuck! Yuck on the sick kid thing...it is fun for about...1 day then life just must go on! May I be so bold as to suggest that maybe I made the bottle cap magnet that moves along the reward chart? If no, oops! embarrassing...i made one for one of my grand nieces. Spring is coming...right? Bring 'em to SD for some sunshine:)
Sorry to hear they are sick again. It's never fun! I thought to myself today that after being sick all winter, we have had a break for a week and a half. Makes me worried for what is coming next. Yikes!
