Aunt Krissi's Graduation

My sister Krissi finished her BYU degree on-line after moving to Chicago when she got married. Way to go! We loved celebrating with her last weekend. Ruthie felt extra special carrying Krissi's cap. Papa got to chase after Ruthie when she bolted (a favrite activity of hers).

Our new favorite things

Tate's new favorite thing is sucking on his toes! I think this could be a hereditary trait since we have pictures of Papa Tutt doing the same thing as a baby! The nice thing is that he has built in entertainment at all times.

Ruthie is in love with our new double stroller. She sat in it inside all afternoon the first day we got it. She even took her nap in it! We couldn't actually try it outside because it was snowing!! It is almost May right!?

Goin' for a Ride

Ruthie insisted on giving Tate a ride in her doll stroller. I just had to get a few photos because they were both loving it!

Tate vs. Rice cereal

I can't believe my baby is big enough for rice cereal! It may be a while before he gets any measurable amount to stay down. 99% ends up on his face he's not the biggest fan. The pictures speak for themselves!

Easter in Arizona

We enjoyed a fabulous trip to AZ this past weekend! Ryan went backpacking for 3 days with the Bevan men and barely survived. They hiked 16 miles the last day! I, on the other hand, relaxed and spent time with family. We went to a baseball game, the zoo, swimming (in March!) and the Easter Pageant. Tate had not met most of the Bevans. He and Ruthie loved seeing all of the Nanas, Papas, aunts, uncles, and of course their cousin Orren. Ruthie and Orren got so black from jumping on the trampoline that Nana put them in her sink for a bath!

First hair cut and Cinderella dresses

Tate recieved the first official hair cut of our 2 children last week. Believe it or not Ruthie has never actually had one! Tate had a thick strip of hair below his growing bald spot on the back of his head that Ryan referred to as his "sub-mullet." The top was thinning out, so we buzzed it. I'll admit I did tear up a little. He looks like a big boy now. Ruthie is all about wearing dresses only! "Cinderella dress!" is her request everyday. I try to comply as it saves me a serious battle in the morning.
