Breaking news: we've finally hit the 90's!

Can you tell I'm from AZ? I've been waiting for summer weather. It has been so hot here (HaHa) I splurged and bought a blow up pool from Target for the kids. It took me a good hour over 2 days to inflate this baby. It is going in the basement inflated during the winter, because I am not doing that again! Ruthie loves splashing around forever, while Tate is good for maybe 15 minutes. I'll take what I can get! I had to take the picture of Tate when I got him out of the pool. There's just something about a naked baby!

First Harvest

This is a "I can't believe I haven't killed these plants yet" post. You know they are low maintenance if they have survived and thrived. Ruthie loves picking strawberries. We are working on just picking the red ones still! I am making freezer jam tonight with my own fruit (ok and a couple of extra from CostCo)! Yum!

Why we love dad!

Ryan is always willing to play catch with his little princess. He's the one that bought her the hot pink glove that lights up when you catch the ball.

Tate loves chillin up on dad's shoulders, and playing with his sweet hair!

This is Ryan's favorite trick to do with the kids when they're little. Tate has a ginormous mouth when he gets excited. He's obviously loving this! What a cheeser.

Just "hanging out"

Ryan is the BEST dad ever! The kids absolutely adore him, and so do I. Thanks babe for always working hard and playing hard. We love you the most! Happy Father's Day!

Taking care of brother

Ruthie loves listening to Tate's heart beat any time she gets her hands on my stethoscope. Today she just happened to be dressed up in her fairy costume! He is such a good patient, and Ruthie was a nice enough sister to let him have a whirl at it. As you can see, Tate is starting to sit up on his own pretty well. Every milestone is exciting and sad at the same time. My baby is growing up!

Memorial Weekend

We had a pretty rainy and cold Memorial Day, but the rest of the weekend was good! Ryan finished the deck on Friday. Loving it! Also on Friday Tate's 2 bottom teeth broke through (look REALLY close in the above picture). That made for a few sleep deprived nights! Sunday we had the Bevan family night here for about 15 people. Ryan's cousins were in town. Tate and Emma, the cute little cabbage patch doll, just hung out. While Ruthie and Garrett made messes together. Check out Ruth's crazy hair and the BBQ chip faces! Another fun thing, I went down to Provo and got to go with my sister Amy to look at wedding dresses, flowers, etc!

New Deck and a New Do

Ryan tore down our mini deck in November and had to wait for decent weather to rebuild the bigger and better replacement. These are a few pictures of the progress he's made in just a couple of days!
I chopped my hair last week! I was getting sick of Tate chewing and pulling on it. It was time for a mom cut. So far I love only blowdrying for 5 mintues!

Aunt Krissi's Graduation

My sister Krissi finished her BYU degree on-line after moving to Chicago when she got married. Way to go! We loved celebrating with her last weekend. Ruthie felt extra special carrying Krissi's cap. Papa got to chase after Ruthie when she bolted (a favrite activity of hers).
